Terrible Misfortune cards are scattered throughout the deck, and if drawn, the player who drew it must kill one of his own bunnies in the Bunny Circle. If he has no bunnies or if the only bunny he has has the Heavenly Halo or is the Holographic Bunny, then he must place it on an opponent’s bunny; the only exception is Terrible Misfortune – Plutonium, which can kill the Holographic Bunny. If there are no bunnies in the Bunny Circle then the card is discarded. Guardian Angle can be used to eliminate any Terrible Misfortune.

Very Terrible Misfortune

A Very Terrible Misfortune card requires a player to kill all of his bunnies in the Bunny Circle. The only Very Terrible Misfortune in Quest for the Magic Carrot is Irate ducks, which cannot kill a bunny with the Heavenly Halo or the Holographic Bunny.

Extremely Terrible Misfortune

An Extremely Terrible Misfortune card requires all players to kill all their bunnies, whether they are in the Bunny Circle or in space. The only Extremely Terrible Misfortune in Quest for the Magic Carrot is Instantaneous Proton Decay, which also cannot kill a bunny with the Heavenly Halo or the Holographic Bunny.

Terrible Misfortune (Casting)

A Terrible Misfortune (Casting) card requires that all Shiner Senators and Whiner Senators vote to decide which bunny suffers the consequences. The bunny does not have to belong to the person who drew the card. Each player receives one vote per Senator Bunny they own. If two or more bunnies are tied on votes, then the player who drew the card decides which of the tied bunnies dies. If there are no Senator bunnies in play, then the player who drew the card decides which bunny in the Bunny Circle dies (it does not have to be his own).
